Important Note: Celebration begins from 3:00 PM onwards and Bathukamma Visarjana (immersion of Bathukamma) in the pond will be around 5:30 PM followed by dinner at Mason Community Center.

Bathukamma is a beautiful flower stack arranged with seasonal flowers in seven concentric layers of potter’s clay like a cone. Bathuku in Telugu means live/life, and Amma means mother, hence Bathukamma, is celebrated for the glory, later denoted as Goddess Gauri – the patron Goddess of womanhood.

Making a BathukammaBathukamma Visarjana (immersion of Bathukamma) will be around 5.30 PM.
Hall is reserved at Mason Community Center facility for potluck dinner. It is a short walk to the hall after leaving the Bathukamma‘s in the water. Volunteers will collect the food from food sponsors in the park. We request all participants to be present at the park by 3:00 PM so that we can get done by 6:00 PM and head to the dining hall.
